day of the dead
Sounds like a Hollywood new hit, remake, whatever,
however I am talking about the celebration in many countries today
when they honor the dead, with flowers, food, drinks, music
people walking long distances to clean the grave where their loves ones rest/
where memories are brought/
where tears fall/
where conversations flourish/
with strong, accentuated, weak, words/
where being on the “other side” on “heaven” on the “tunnel”/
is no impediment to feel their presence next to you,/
to love them the way you did on “this side”/
to nourish them/
to touch them when you do on the grave/
on the flower that decorates/
on the favorite pillow/
on the favorite dress/
on the favorite food/
on the favorite musical instrument/
you play/
you eat/
you set the environment/
to remember the love one/
to remember how much you love the person/
to remember how much you can love
